The
Devon and Dorset
Group is
a small group of bus
enthusiasts with strong links to the Devon and Dorset areas.
Between us, we have a collection of preserved buses, most of which
have connections to the South West and several originated with one
of the most famous and respected names in the bus industry,
Devon General.
The
Group is, essentially, an affiliation of 4 like-minded individuals,
all of whom own buses. We do not have a formal membership but
maintain a list of 'friends' who are interested in our vehicles and
who have asked to be kept informed of news and events that we
organise from time to time. If you would like to be added to

above.
Our
philosophy is that we enjoy running our buses just as much as
attending rallies so, in addition to participating in a number of
organised events each year, we try and stage a few less formal
running days of our own, typically returning some of our vehicles to
their old territory and re-creating routes of years gone by.
A
central part of our activities each year are the two Vintage Bus
Running Days that we organise in Weymouth (17
June 2012) and Torquay (2

The
remainder of this site gives details not only of the Weymouth Rally and
Torbay Rally
but also details of the vehicles we own, events that we plan to
attend during the year, a little about the stories behind restoring
old buses to near-original condition and plenty of
photographs. The site is updated regularly so do
check back from time to time as extra features are planned.
Finally,
we are most grateful to those who have provided us with photographs
